Introducing England's worst nightmare – the Franco-German Weremonster, evil overlord of the European Union; Hetalia-style!

[--- The UK now faces its greatest challenge as two of its worst historical enemies have teamed up to absorb all of Europe into their tyrannical Napoléonic Fourth Reich - all under the guise of peaceful European integration!

Isolated from the continent by nature, can the UK withstand the terror of this unholy union? Or will it also fall victim to the clutches of the "axis of ill-intent" and their neo-imperialist European superstate?
Find out in our new reality show, titled “News”, available 24/7 on a telly near you! ---]

I am exaggerating, obviously. But I still was endlessly amused when I found out, by starting to read British online newspapers regularly, that this is what some people actually seem to believe. :'D I, for one, am shocked and appalled at my country being involved in such a sinister plot. Shocked. and. appalled.

For all my snarking though, there is one thing absolutely true – France and Germany are joined at the hip IRL. And I don’t just mean geographically. So, in light of this interesting conspiracy theory, the "horrible Franco-German weremonster" haunting Arthur's dreams has become sort of a running gag between some French friends and me. This picture was created while I was staying with ~kuroyonakidori in Paris and is entirely and lovingly dedicated to her.

Personally I think England’s just being his tsundere self towards the EU, paired with a vague, unsettling feeling of jealousy of Germany taking France away from him. ;-)
He should just agree to that threesome already. Problem solved.

The British could even things out if they wanted in on the fray. The Eastern Europeans are wide open.

I almost died laughing.... Thanks for this mental image!

Some time ago I read quite some things about the EU and I find your picture even more amusing considering this. In 1946 it was Sir Churchill himself who wanted France and Germany to take care or Europe... although it apparently wasn't his intention to get England involved even back then. Oh, I agree with you: he's just so tsundere... :XD:

Wow really? I had no idea that the British had these concerns over the EU. I really need to keep up with news in Europe more... I'm American so I pay more attention to the Middle East That's interesting! I love the pic though XD lol at Germany/France. I think it's funny that they're so attached now, considering their history XD
