... and yet again, Ivan manages to be weirder than everybody else.  Special guest: Benjamin Franklin (who argued for the turkey as national animal of the US instead of the bald eagle). -- Al, Lutz, Feliks, Gil, Rod & Ivan (c) Himaruya Hidekaz (For the sake of completeness: These are still not all "eagle countries" there are. According to wiki, the eagle as national animal/symbol is also used in: Albania, Armenia, the Czech Republic, Egypt, Indonesia, Iraq, Mexico, Nigeria, Philippines, Serbia etc.etc. It was also used by the Romans, the Byzantine Empire, and Holy Roman Empire.) |
