This little sketch was made when in canon, both Itachi and Byakuya were portrayed as, well, powerful assholes. Ever since, both of them were redeemed and are now tragic, self-sacrificing heroes.
... and that STILL makes them so similar that they STILL could be related. xD
'cept Byakuya isn't dead, because nobody ever dies in Bleach.
